Book from the Nicholas and Helena Roerich founded Agni Yoga Society claiming to have been received as wisdom from the ascended master Morya, who also spoke to Helena Blavatsky and others associated with Theosophy. In addition to Nicholas Roerich’s paintings (which were cited by H.P. Lovecraft in At The Mountains of Madness), the couple are noted for their influence on Vice President Henry Wallace, attempt to build their own country in Central Asia, and continued museum in Morningside Heights.
