Description

Early Lecture on The Theories of Edgar Cayce “Children of the New Age” From Foundational ARE Member Lydia Gray

Gray, Lydia J Schrader. Children of the New Age Based On One Hundred Edgar Cayce Life Readings for Children and Other Lectures. Edgar Cayce Publishing Company. Virginia Beach, VA. 1948.

An early introduction to the work of Edgar Cayce (1877-1945) by Cayce family friend and formative member of the Association for Research and Enlightenment, Lydia J Schrader Gray (1889 – 1982) based on the records left behind from Cayce’s consultations with children.

One of the first followers of Cayce, Gray was in contact with the famed clairvoyant and receiving readings from him as early as 1938. Moving to Virginia Beach in 1945, the year of Edgar Cayce’s death, she served as a caretaker to his wife, Gertrude, for the final months of her life, before embarking on a career as a speaker and writer on Cayce’s work.

This characteristic example consists of a lecture by Gray on the nature of the then rising generations based on 100 life readings given to children by “the sleeping prophet”.
