One of 300 copies, this scarce photography book from Rome based artist Caterina Nelli is the bound form of a 2007 to 2009 photo series of “‘automatic’ nocturnal snap shots” capturing party scenes without looking through the camera lens.
A painter and fashion designer as well as a photographer, Nelli is also an irregular contributor to NERO’s magazine this is her second limited artist book through the publisher who also published her 2007 “Still Stories” collection of pinhole photographs in an edition of 100 copies. In 2012 – 2013 she completed a residency in Japan studying the Mingei style and philosophy of craft art leading to a series of woodworking sculptures.
8vo, [55]pp, perfect bound waxed blue paper wraps with floral print. Corners and spine ends bumped, wear to spine ends and lower fore corner. Hand numbered 79 of 300 and signed by artist on front wrap interior. Glossy photo-illustrations on each page. Very good condition.
