Bulteau, Michel. Parvis a l’echo des cils. Jean-Jacques Pauvert. Paris. 1972. One of 1070 copies.

A copy of the scarce, limited-edition poetry anthology, Parvis a l’echo des cils, edited by Michel Bulteau, featuring writing from fellow avant garde French poets Patrick Geoffrois, Matthieu Messagier, Claude Pelieu, Stanislas Rodanski, and others. Bulteau, perhaps the most famous of mid-century France’s Electric Poets, was also a member of the band Mahogany Brain with Patrick Geoffrois, which is given a short feature as the text’s final entry. The collection also features work from the American writers who helped inspire the French movement, including a translation of “New York To San Fran” by Allen Ginsberg, art from Brion Gysin, and a reprint of three pages from William S Burroughs’ St. Louis Journal originally included in The Paris Review in 1965.
