Scarce final issue of Promethean Enterprises, the comix zine created by comic collector, retailer, and distributor Bud Plant that ran form 1969 – 1974, producing 4 issues, out of his home on Holly Drive in San Jose.
This issue features art and comics from R Crumb, Greg Irons, Robert Inwood, Keith Kleespies, George Metzger, Victor Moscoso, and others and a back cover by comix, poster, and album cover artist Rick Griffin. In addition to featuring Crumb’s famous parody of The Nightmare by Henry Fuseli and a multi-page sketchbook of Fritz the Cat illustrations (a year ahead of the groundbreaking 1972 film adaptation by animator Ralph Bakshi), this issue is also notable for multiple Disney parodies by John Fawcett of dubious legal status.
