Reprinted lecture by 33rd degree Freemason and past lodge master Dr Paul DeWitt discussing Andrew Jackson’s relationship to the famous fraternal order. The short text includes images of Jackson’s masonic apron on display at his former home, the Hermitage Museum, for whom this pamphlet was likely printed. DeWitt, who died in 1952, “was a 33rd degree Scottish Rite Mason, was a past master of Phoenix Lodge 131… a past potentate of Al Menah Temple of the Shrine and Master of Kadosh of Trinity Consistory of Nashville” according to his obituary.
