Bookplate of past owner on front white paper pastedown. Signed by the author on first free endpaper. Slight brown discoloration on endpaper from opposing bookplate. Small ink spot in margin on first page. Pages clean. Very good condition.

Printed yellow and grey dust jacket shows wear with pigment losses from past rubbing to front. Losses and chipping along front lower edge from fore corner to a quarter way along. Cracking, creasing, and small losses along spine edge. Top sixth of spine missing along with bottom most edge. Back wrapper darkened with significant loss from top fore corner. Minor losses along back flap top edge. Fair condition.

Signed first edition of Dr. J.B. Rhine’s pioneering work on parapsychological research, detailing his experiments into extrasensory perception, telepathy, and psychokinesis at Duke University. Formerly owned by late Illinois psychiatrist Dr. David Dean Brockman.
