Scarce 1988 Reprint of the First Issue of Re/Search Magazine Originally Published in 1980, itself an outgrowth of the earlier Search / Destroy from 1977.

1988 reprint of the legendary underground Re/Search magazine, first printed in 1980 following the collapse of the earlier punk zine Search/Destroy in 1977. Includes coverage of prostitution in the punk scene as well as writing from  Hopscotch author Julio Cortazar, Octavio Paz, and J.G. Ballard. Also includes coverage of Psychic TV and Thee Temple Ov Psychick Youth’s Genesis Breyer P-Orridge’s Throbbing Gristle and the highly influential post-punk bank, Cabaret Voltaire. This reprint of issue one is nearly identical to the original 1980 newsprint publication except for the Searchlight Publishing colophon on the back wrap.

36pp newsprint folio. Pages toned but clean. Reading creases and folds from storage. Some pages dogeared. Good.
